Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a sequel to the 1988 comedy horror film Beetlejuice. The story picks up decades after the original film, with the Deetz family returning to their home in Winter River. Lydia Deetz, now a grown-up and a popular paranormal TV host, accidentally reopens the portal to the afterlife, releasing the mischievous ghost Beetlejuice.
Beetlejuice’s antics and Lydia’s teenage daughter, Astrid, create chaos in the Deetz household. The film is filled with Tim Burton’s signature dark humor, quirky characters, and visually striking imagery.
