Are you a fan of Cartier? If yes is your answer, do visit CLASH DE CARTIER STUDIO!
Watch Clash de Cartier collection comes to life as they take over STPI in the Maison’s iconic red hue on 15-17 November 2019. It is also Cartier’s first and largest ever pop-up activation in Southeast Asia.
The pop-up will feature themes of literature, music and art, all in opposition. Creative works by Michel Gaubert and Thomas Lélu will also be showcased at the pop-up.
Once you are in there, start your “Clash” journey by answering a simple questionnaire to determine which room you will begin with – either the BOOKSTORE or RECORD STORE.
You can find books that are specifically curated to display contradictions in genres, content and themes in this room. You can also do a simple personality test to determine your “Clash” alter ego-personality, which will be translated into a personalised Haiku poem crafted by the Haiku poets. The Haiku poem will then be typed out by an old school typewriter and you can bring it home as a memento.
Futuristic sound showers will be installed in the RECORD STORE where you can listen to the Clash de Cartier playlist curated by leading French sound designer, Michel Gaubert. The playlist encapsulates the spirit of the Clash de Cartier collection by bringing together a unique clash of attitudes featuring music from different genres. If you like the music, you can also scan the Spotify code and have the playlist appear in your account.
There are also a few dedicated photo moments at multiple touch points, including a play on optical illusion where you can view things upside down. Your portraits will be printed with specially created elements centering on key product codes of Clash de Cartier from gold to the word, “Clash”, designed by renowned French author and artist, Thomas Lélu.
Once you are done exploring the different rooms, hangout at the CAFÉ where you can enjoy complimentary “Clash” pastry and drink. Even the CAFÉ itself is a photo opportunity too.
Embracing the opposition of cultures in Singapore, where East meets West, one half of the CAFÉ will be modeled with local decor while the other half is designed to look European.
Admission to Clash de Cartier Studio is free. Visit clashdecartier.sg/register to register a session for yourself.
