Meow! Would you like to enjoy a “Cat Bath” when you are in Osaka?
Earlier this year, we shared about the cats of Gotanjoji, Japan’s “Cat Temple.” This time round, we are going to make you go “aawwwwwww” at a rescue cat cafe – Neko Yokujo.
The Japanese love their animals and they love to unwind themselves with a relaxing hot bath after a long tiring day. Even though these two matters do not seem related, but everything will start to make sense when you step into Neko Yokujo (ねこ浴場).
No, we are not referring to the real bath and you will not be able to take a physical bath with the cats there.
At Neko Yokuju, they believe that a “Cat Bath” can heal your body and mind well. The “Cat Bath” is a new concept of the protection cat cafe where you can heal your daily fatigue by touching and feeling them.
Once you reach the cat cafe in Osaka, you will notice that the storefront and interior are decorated to look like a traditional Japanese public bathhouse.
However, rather than soaking in a warm bath, you will find yourself soaking in the immense love of the cuddly rescued cats.
Look carefully and you will notice that the cats are scaling Mount Fuji! If they happen to rest on the transparent acrylic cat-steps, you can take really cute and unique photos of them as though they are floating on the mountain.
You can cuddle with the rescue cats, or simply just chill out with them. If you are lucky enough, the cat may even rest on your lap!
It does not matter if you are just there to play with the cats, do yoga or even sleep. The cat promises to be your best company for as long as you are in the cafe.
The cafe also serves as a place for people hoping to adopt the cats, providing them with a new home.
