Because nothing can stop us once the seatbelt sign has been turned off
A few months ago, we took a flight that was largely uneventful - until the plane landed and began to taxi towards the terminal. As per protocol, the stewardess urged passengers to remain seated until the seatbelt sign had been switched off.
Ignoring her instructions, scores of passengers began clicking their seatbelts open and rising from their seats, like the undead hungry to walk this Earth again. The poor flustered stewardess repeated her announcement, but alas, it fell on deaf ears.
What goes through these passengers' minds - and ours - when incidents like this happen? If you've ever encountered such passengers, or are one such type of flyer yourself, here are seven thoughts that you can probably relate to.
7. Seat belt sign has been turned off
These people need to take a chill pill. It’s not like the airplane will take off again with you inside it.
Sian, the guy beside me wants to get out. See la, should have asked for window seat.
