We can all heave a sigh of relief now – Crabtree & Evelyn is back in business in Singapore!

The beloved beauty and body care brand stunned us when they shut down all its brick-and-mortar stores in Singapore at the end of January this year. We could still shop their hand creams and soap bars online, but then the brand surprised us again by halting all online sales last week.

Thankfully, now it appears that Crabtree & Evelyn was just taking a short online hiatus before making their big e-commerce comeback. Their website is completely revamped and reborn, boasting a fresh new design and layout that highlight their new brand identity, which is inspired by their new ethos: “Born Curious. Grow Wild.”

Very free-spirited and bohemian. According to the brand’s CEO, David Stern, they are hoping to reach “a curious, global community of constant explorers” with this re-invention. The new identity is still in line with the nature theme of the OG Crabtree & Evelyn, and perhaps this time the enhanced hippie vibes might draw in more millennials!

Pretty much all the old products have been discontinued, but don’t fret! We spotted some of our old-time favourites, like the La Source and Gardeners body care lines, still available (and sporting new packaging!) under “The Archives” section of the webstore, as part of their “Cult Collection.”

As for the new products, there’s a lot to love. Two new collections have already been launched, aptly dubbed “Evelyn Rose” and “Crabtree.” Each has a very wide range of beauty, body and lifestyle products: scents, exfoliators, masks, solid perfumes, body cream, oil, cleansing balm, lip scrub, face foam, body lotion, facial mists, candles, hand creams, tea and diffusers.

Evelyn Rose, as the name suggests, centres on rose scents and rose-based ingredients such as rosewater and rosehip seed oil. It’s an iconic collection from the brand’s past, and now reformulated for Crabtree & Evelyn 2.0.

We always love the hand creams from Crabtree & Evelyn, so we have our eyes on the Satin Hand Cream, which is powered by Rosehip Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Aloe Vera, Mallow Flower Extract, and has a light, floral scent.

Even more exciting to us is the second new collection, “Crabtree.” It is a gender-inclusive and unisex collection, a first for the brand. The ingredients and packaging design are conceived for men, women and those in between to use. We are personally intrigued by the Smooth +Refine Body Lotion – its light and hydrating formula is made with a blend of soothing oils and refreshing apple extract, and even does the work of exfoliation with apple AHAs.

All the products are available now on the Crabtree & Evelyn webstore.
