Considering the amount of sheer frenzy that Hello Kitty commands — from McDonalds to Sanrio fairs, we’re betting our last dollar that this upcoming cafe will draw queues longer than your neighbourhood ATMs at peak hour.
While this mouthless cat is keeping much of the details (and official photos) under wraps for now, we’re sharing the five things we already know.

2. It is perfect for travelers
If you’ve got a vacation planned in May, be sure to drop by Changi Airport Terminal 3. The café will be serving a bevy of delectable food and beverages round-the-clock.

3. It takes inspiration from our garden city
Resplendent with lush greenery and opulent blooms, Hello Kitty Orchid Garden emulates Singapore’s ‘garden city’ vibe, fusing inspiration from the national flower — the orchid — with the beloved character’s signature kawaii flair.

4. There will be local flavours in the menu
Local influence is woven into the menu, which comprises all-day breakfast fare and an irresistible array of Kitty-fied desserts, including gelato sundaes, waffles, pastries and tea cakes. Who knows, you might just see kaya toasts served on kitty plates.

5. You will be tempted to buy everything
Fans will be tempted to take home a memento from the retail corner, where Singapore-exclusive merchandise will be launched in stages. Anticipate a range of custom Hello Kitty-inspired tea blends, plush toys, grow-it-yourself plant kits, postcards and tea cups.
