Fun Things To Do For This March School Holidays

If you’re planning content for the March school holidays, this guide offers a strong mix of activities.

Expect everything from hands-on workshops and beachside adventures to nature-based camps, new attractions, live shows, and family-friendly learning experiences across Singapore and just beyond.

1. The First-ever LEGO Shophouse Experience at Design Orchard

The LEGO Group is bringing a unique cultural pop-up to Singapore with the debut of the LEGO Shophouse Experience, a celebration of Peranakan-inspired heritage told through creativity, play, and shared memories across generations.

Running from 13 March to 5 April 2026 at Design Orchard, the immersive pop-up reimagines a traditional Singaporean shophouse as a walk-through LEGO world. Visitors will step through charming, nostalgia-filled rooms built with LEGO bricks, each space thoughtfully designed to capture the warmth, character, and everyday beauty of classic local homes.

Along the way, guests can admire intricate fan-built displays, explore themed interiors, join interactive building activities, and even craft their own LEGO keepsakes to take home. Blending culture, creativity, and play, the experience offers a visually captivating and family-friendly outing that welcomes visitors of all ages.

Design Orchard is located at 250 Orchard Rd, #01-01 Design Orchard, Singapore 238905.

2. Museum of Ice Cream Launches Limited Sundae Making Workshop

Museum of Ice Cream Singapore is adding a sweet twist to the school break with its limited-run Sundae Making Workshop, happening for just three days on 16, 18 and 20 March 2026, with sessions at 11am and 2.30pm. Each 45-minute workshop lets guests step behind the counter to create their own sundae with guidance from MOIC’s Scoop Professors, making it a playful activity for both children and adults who want something more interactive than a usual museum visit.

The experience includes making classic flavours such as chocolate, strawberry, vanilla or mint, followed by customising the sundae with crunchy mix-ins and colourful toppings. After the workshop, visitors can continue exploring the museum’s 12 installations and enjoy unlimited ice cream across its dessert stations.

MOIC’s official ticketing platform also notes that general admission includes unlimited ice cream, children aged 2 and below enter free, and a S$4 ticketing fee applies at checkout. Local admission is commonly priced at S$35, so this is a useful starting point if you are planning the outing. Sessions are limited, so early booking is advisable.

This limited stay package is valid from 13 to 22 March 2026, with bookings open until 17 March 2026, and is built around a guided one-hour pony session for children aged 3 to 12 who weigh below 40kg.

During the session, young guests get to ride, groom and feed the ponies while learning about their behaviour and daily care in a supervised setting. The package also includes a seaside picnic with a take-home bag and picnic mat, daily breakfast at Silver Shell Cafe, access to sea sports such as kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and pedal boating, plus resort activities and selected privileges at The Palawan @ Sentosa. 4. Into The Wild Returns to Nikoi Island With an Island Survival Camp

For parents who want something more adventurous than a mall day, Into The Wild is returning to Nikoi Island in March 2026 with three editions of its island survival camp. The camp is designed for children aged 4 to 12 and runs across three half-day sessions per edition, with dates set for 14 to 16 March, 16 to 18 March, and 20 to 22 March 2026.

The programme is priced at S$300 per child and focuses on practical survival skills, confidence building and outdoor exploration in a guided setting across Nikoi’s beaches and forests. Families who want to stretch the trip into a short getaway can also enjoy 20 per cent off accommodation when extending to a third night on selected dates.

Nikoi recommends taking the 8.10am ferry from Singapore to Bintan and the 6.35pm return ferry so children do not miss any activities. This is one of the more unusual March holiday options because it feels like a proper adventure rather than just a day trip, while still being close enough to Singapore to make it a family trip.

5. Exploria Opens at Mandai Wildlife Reserve

One of the biggest new openings for the March holidays is Exploria, a new attraction at Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Spanning 10,000 square metres, it is set to be one of Southeast Asia’s largest indoor nature-themed multimedia attractions, taking visitors through immersive environments ranging from prehistoric worlds and extreme habitats to microscopic ecosystems and the darkness of the deep ocean.

Key highlights include the central Biopool, anchored by a four-metre LED globe, five themed worlds to explore, and interactive RFID wristbands that allow visitors to activate installations and collect species badges along the way. Major set pieces include The Giants Show, an eight-minute 360-degree theatre experience designed to be one of the attraction’s signature moments.

Exploria operates from 11am to 8pm on weekdays and 11am to 9pm on weekends and public holidays, with a recommended visit time of around three to four hours. Standard admission is S$38 for adults and S$28 for children and students, while local residents with WildPass pay S$34.20 for adults, S$25.20 for children and students, and S$20 for seniors.
