2. Indulge in a Chianti wine dinner at Zafferano
A lovely Italian red wine, and the favourite drink of Hannibal Lecter; and for one night only, you can have a nice Chianti, not with fava beans, but with a exceedingly delightful five-course contemporary Italian dinner at Zafferano! And it’s not just any Chianti, but a curated and organic selection from the renowned Badia a Coltibuono, one of the oldest wine-producing estates in the Italian region!
Highlights include the house-made ‘pappardelle’ pasta with braised duck leg ragout & pomegranate; paired with the Coltibuono Chianti Classico Riserva 2013; as well as the dessert of eggless almond custard cream and white peach coulis that goes well with the Coltibuono Vin Santo 2009, a Tuscan dessert wine with notes of caramel, honey, and dried fruit.
