This canine carnival has something for everyone – even non-dog owners

Come October, a giant carnival is coming to town – and it’ll revolve all around dogs and dog lovers. That’s right: even if you don’t own a dog, you can be part of the fun too.
The All ‘Bout Canines(ABC) carnival will run from 22-23 Oct at Tan Quee Lan Field in Bugis.
For the canines
Doggies can put their nose to the test in a treasure hunt of treat-filled toys, and vie for the top spot in competitions like the Doggie Race, the Waggiest Tail, the Best Trick and the Best Fetcher.
They can also snack on canine-friendly gourmet grub, such as “Bark-Kwa” and “Turkey Jerky” from The Barkery.
For doggy owners and lovers
Humans will have a whale of a time too as celebrity bulldog Bobo and TV star Labrador Retriever Flapper show off their slick and adorable moves on stage. These two will also be roving ‘reporters’ for the carnival, as they will have cameras strapped to their backs to give visitors a dogs-eye view of the fair.
Meanwhile, owners can try their hand at art jamming, where you can paint your dog’s portrait under the guidance of an artist. Shop for stylish accessories with indie retailers like Ohpopdog and FuzzYard.
Famished? Don’t worry, there’s human food for you too. And if you’d like to walk away with a furry addition to your family, head to the adoption drive where you can make a less-fortunate dog very happy.
