This month's forecast: 99% chance of wine
Like true blue Singaporeans, we love complaining about inane issues. And thanks to 1-Group, we can now whine over wine until end August at upscale lifestyle destinations of 1-Altitude, Monti, The Garage, and The Summerhouse.
Titled Wine Lust Journeys, the extravaganza has 14 gastronomic adventures hosted across the mentioned four destinations, where merrymakers can gather together to revel in the spirit of wine drinking through a flurry of unique programmes.
Highlights to expect are dinner pairings, pop-up cellars and celebratory events. You can even purchase wine bottles (including Magnum and Jeroboam formats) on site at retail and wholesale prices.

5. Taste old world wines at Monti
It seems Monti has adopted the ‘Go Big or Go Home’ mantra in the month of August as the Italian lifestyle destination presents seven wine labels in massive Magnum and Jeroboam bottles (from $480). Usually reserved for avid collectors, these rare, vintage wines, hailing from Spain, Italy and France, are up for grabs for everyone at Monti until 31 August. For those who feel rather uneasy about making such a huge commitment, you can satisfy your taste for the tipple with a glass of Spanish Bodegas Roda Roda 2011 wine from the Jeroboam bottle ($22).
