10. Proud Owners of Guinea Pigs (POGs)

What began as just a social group on Facebook in June 2011 due to the lack of information on caring for guinea pigs turned into a website for owners to gain insights on their guinea pigs’ care and behaviour. It is a platform for owners to share stories of their furry companions and provide support in times of hardship when illness or death looms. Although these smaller and lesser known critters seem easy to care for, a lot of effort goes in to understanding their personalities and giving them the appropriate treatment. The website consists of comprehensive information on what it takes to properly care a guinea pig and if you think you are ready to adopt one, head over to their Facebook group and request to join it!
