Recipe: Red Wine Japanese Beef Curry by Asian Food Channel

Japanese curry is a sweeter, milder take on curry, but adding some red wine helps to make this a more grown-up take on a comforting Asian classic.
- 1 box Japanese curry roux (8 cubes)
- 400g stewing beef cubes
- 250ml red wine
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2-3 carrots
Peeled and cut into large chunks
- 2 yellow onions
Peeled and chopped roughly
- 1 tablespoon concentrated tomato paste
- 1 L water
- Combine the beef cubes with red wine, honey and soy sauce.
- Leave to marinate for at least one hour, or even overnight.
