Michelin-Starred Chef Mauro Colagreco Brings New Burgers in to CARNE Singapore

CARNE Singapore, created by celebrated Argentine chef Mauro Colagreco, whose restaurant Mirazur in France is the current #1 on World’s 50 Best Restaurants and has 3 Michelin stars, is finally here in Singapore.

CARNE’s concept echos the belief of Chef Mauro’s: “Every time you eat, you decide the world you want to live in”.

CARNE is the world’s first hamburger chain to become a Certified B Corporation, a triple impact certification (social, environmental and economic) for businesses committed to doing better for the world. Operating daily from 8am to 11pm for walk-ins and takeaways, it offers an all-day menu of made-to-order burgers, milkshakes, local craft beers and more, alongside a healthy breakfast selection.

The hearty “Complete Burger” (S$28) has succulent grass-fed beef patty, crispy smoked hormone-free bacon and over-easy egg with cheddar cheese, local oak lettuce, organic tomato, red onion and pickled cucumber, while the “Veggie Burger” (S$16) is one for the plant-based diners, with grilled portobello, charred halloumi cheese, local oak lettuce and tomato tapenade.

Released for the first time are two burgers specially created for Singapore by Mauro and his team. The “Beef and Chimichurri Burger” (S$24) is a nod to CARNE’s Argentinian roots with a house-blend chimichurri sauce, and the “Crispy Chicken Burger” (S$18) combines a locally-sourced, GMO-free poussin chicken thigh with fresh green cabbage, chilli pickled organic cucumber and organic greek yogurt dressing.

The addictive fries (S$8.90) are made of Agria potatoes using a special thrice-cooked technique proprietary to CARNE, the mustard and ketchup are organic and housemade, and the daily-changing salads (S$15) are medleys of local greens and seasonal organic vegetables.

Nestled in a charmingly-restored heritage shophouse, the 80-seater smart-casual burger joint upholds CARNE’s signature eco-conscious ethos that ensures quality and sustainable production in every ingredient.
