Concoct Your Very Own Festive Cocktail Inspired By The Campari Bartender Competition

Put together your own Christmas tipple

As we gear up towards the Asia regional finals for the Campari Bartending Competition ASIA 2018— We bring to you two amazing cocktail creations in which you can put together at home for that party you’re hosting, or perhaps, if you would like to savour them at an intimate gathering of loved ones!

Called the “Bittersweet of 1927“—This drink was entered by Thomas Sabota of 1927, Sofitel. The inspiration behind this drink? “This drink was inspired by a telegram found in the basement of our building sent in 1927 from Italy to Singapore – “If your life gets bitter, add more Campari and enjoy that bitterness with pleasure. Life is all about that, the bittersweet balance!” It’s become a personal motto of mine now, hence Bittersweet Since 1927.”

Ingredients:

  •   60ml Campari
  •   30ml Fresh pineapple juice
  •   30ml Fresh orange juice
  •   30ml Sweetened coconut cream
  •   10ml Lime juice
  •   3 Dashes of Angostura bitters

Method: Shake all ingredients together. Add ice and finish with pineapple, orange wedges and sherry.

Crowned as the winning cocktail this year by local champion Joma Riviera from Queens, Zouk; the “Catchee” is “an elegant and sophisticated interpretation of the cosmopolitan lychee martini meant to take the drinker away on a dreamy holiday getaway.” Served in an elegant tulip glass and garnished with lime zest, this festive tipple is bound to delight!

Ingredients:

  • 30ml Campari
  • 70ml Lychee juice
  • 7.5ml Lime juice
  • Coconut Cream Foam

Method: Combine all ingredients and shake.
