How to maximise your long weekends next year and the best times to book your flights

According to the Ministry of Manpower, 2017 will bring us seven long weekends - where a public holiday (PH) falls on a Friday or Monday. However, by taking just six days of leave, you can enjoy three more long weekends, stretching your total vacation time to a whopping 36 days.

This is it: The moment you’ve been waiting for. Vesak Day falls on a Wednesday in 2017, and if this mid-week break isn’t enough downtime for you, go ahead and take Thursday and Friday off. Congratulations, you just got a whole work week (five days) off!
