According to the Ministry of Manpower, 2017 will bring us seven long weekends - where a public holiday (PH) falls on a Friday or Monday. However, by taking just six days of leave, you can enjoy three more long weekends, stretching your total vacation time to a whopping 36 days.

We show you how to do just that, and where you should consider travelling to during each period.

Good Friday: 14 Apr, Fri

Take leave on:

February and March will leave you longing for a break, and April will swoop in with a nice long weekend in the middle of the month. A great place to travel in April is South Korea, as this time of year marks its cherry blossom season. The forecast for 2017 will only be released in early-March by the Korean Meteorological Administration, but gauging from last year’s season, Seoul enjoyed the flowers from 6-13 April, and Incheon saw the blossoms from 9-15 April.

For a shorter getaway, consider heading up to Taipei to escape the heat. Its April weather brings in a cool 19-23 degrees Celsius.
