4. Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village

Immerse yourself in the lives of ethnic Miao people by visiting the world’s largest Miao village. This village in Xijiang town has been widely lauded by anthropologists for its great preservation efforts, offering visitors an authentic experience of traditional Miao culture. Rows upon rows of wooden houses, inhabited by over 1,000 families, are built side by side at the foot of the hill, their charming architecture among the green a very picturesque sight. You can hike the trails to visit the farms and market stalls, and even have your picture taken wearing traditional Miao costumes.
