8. Sleep in a cocoon in the trees
If you’re ever journeying to Fondettes, France, this unusual listing will make your experience even more memorable. The Cocon Douillet dans les Arbres is a tented round bed perched amidst ancient trees of Tours. Each “nest” can sleep two, or a family if the children are small.
You can only access your nest by climbing the nets, which can double up as a hammock for a nap or afternoon read among the trees. The site also has a heated swimming pool from April to October, a rose garden and a castle terrace where you can have breakfast or picnic.
