7. Trek through prehistoric land

Almost like taking a walk in the park 65 million years ago, a trek through Taman Negara in Pahang is an experience to remember. Estimated to be more than 130 million years old, Taman Negara is one of the world’s oldest rainforests and home to the highest mountain in Peninsular Malaysia, Mount Tahan.

To get an overhead view of the forest from 45m above ground, climb up to the world’s longest canopy walkway. Visitors can also explore ancient limestone caves, go canoeing, camp out overnight in an observation hide or simply take a leisurely stroll through one of the nature trails.
