6. See strangely beautiful land formations

The Bako National Park in Sarawak will surprise you with its oddly shaped yet charming natural formations. Located 37km from the main city of Kuching, Sarawak’s oldest national park is home to almost every plant species in Borneo as well as a rocky shoreline filled with beautiful formations rising from the sand and sea.

The park is well-serviced by 16 trails for visitors, who can spot numerous wildlife like the endemic Proboscis monkey and some 150 species of birds.
