7. Human Chess
Ever wondered what chess would look like if the pawns came to life? In Italy, in a small town called Marostica, a ‘live’ chess game is played out every year. Years ago, the Lord of the town decreed that a chess game had to be played out between two suitors to win the hand of his daughter.
Since then, tradition stuck and the games are now played outside the castle where the original game took place.
