While cycling down the North Wiltshire Rivers Route, explore the iconic cloisters of Lacock Abbey, which appeared in several Harry Potter films.

Harry Potter spotting: Wiltshire, UK

Older children and even adults may appreciate what awaits on the North Wiltshire Rivers Route. Besides passing magical sights like the Cherhill White Horse and Avebury stone circle, this 40km route also runs near Lacock Abbey.

When here, be sure to take a peek inside, as its cloister walk was featured as part of Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets — when Harry hears the basilisk — and in the Half-Blood Prince. The abbey has also appeared in a number of other programmes, like the 1995 BBC production of “Pride and Prejudice”.

Families can tour Lacock Abbey for £30.20 (about $59), and there’s also an option to have a portion of your entrance fee donated to the UK National Trust.
