Free & Easy Tour: Great Ocean Road, Australia

Cycling down this iconic coastal road, which connects the southeastern Australian towns of Allansford and Torquay, is a great way to explore Australia if you’re not keen on driving.

The 242km-long route is a favourite among cyclists looking for a weekend trip. It zips past breathtaking cliff edges, waterfront jetties, beaches and the famous Twelve Apostles formation. The road branches out into several detours, awarding opportunities for visitors to explore the smaller towns Down Under.

The Great Ocean Road is also the largest war memorial in the world, as it was constructed by servicemen who returned from World War I.
