3. Hiking up Peramun Hill

Located in the Selumar Village Forest, Peramun Hills prove to be an exciting trek for the adventure lover! The name “Peramun” comes from the word “peramu”(gatherer) and “ramu”(potion), which came about from the early dwellers in Belitung who planted traditional herbs and medicinal plants on this very hill. A diverse variety of local flora and fauna can be found here still, including herbs to treat malaria and more. It is about a good 30-minute leisurely climb to the summit, and the beautiful view is definitely worth it.
