If you're hoping to head overseas during this holiday period, why not get some Christmas shopping done and catch impressive festive light-ups while you're at it? You could snag some unique gifts that you may not normally get in Singapore - and possibly at a great price too.
For those who aren't venturing too far out of the region, here are 11 Christmas markets you can actually find in Asia.

4. Taipei: Strasbourg Christmas Market
Where: Taipei, Taiwan
When: Until 25 Dec, 12pm-9.30pm (Sun-Thu) & 12pm-10pm (Fri & Sat)
The loved French Strasbourg Christmas Market is now in Taipei at the Taipei 101 dancing water square. Recreating the French-style cabin marketplace, it will feature a wide array of traditional French delicatessen foods, confectioneries, mulled wine, beer and crafted products.
Interestingly, none of the cottages accept cash. Instead, visitors can purchase coupons for the market near the giant Christmas tree.
