If you're hoping to head overseas during this holiday period, why not get some Christmas shopping done and catch impressive festive light-ups while you're at it? You could snag some unique gifts that you may not normally get in Singapore - and possibly at a great price too.
For those who aren't venturing too far out of the region, here are 11 Christmas markets you can actually find in Asia.

11. Sapporo: German Christmas Market
Where: Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan
When: Until 24 Dec
Held in Sapporo since 2002, this market at Odori Park has stalls selling Christmas items, wine and German food, as well as commemorative mugs that differ in design every year. There are outdoor concerts and workshops, and a visiting Santa Claus that hands out presents to lucky visitors.
If you visit now, you can also catch the Sapporo White Illumination at Odori Park.
