9. Iconic house of Aung San Suu Kyi

Aung San Suu Kyi is the face of Myanmar’s the pro-democracy movement, for which she was famously placed under house arrest for 15 years. Due to this, her house is revered as one of Myanmar’s most iconic sights.

While public entry is prohibited, the history of the standalone residence where Aung San Suu Kyi would talk to her people over the steel gates is a reminder of her huge sacrifice and unwavering devotion to her country.
