7. People’s Square and Park

Previously part of the palace grounds of Queen Shin Sawbu, the city’s People’s Square and Park is a palatial and sprawling 135.7-acre complex, ideal for leisurely strolls and discoveries of its eclectic attractions.

From here, you can marvel at the wonderful views of the Shwedagon Pagoda. You can also enter the decommissioned Myanmar Airways Fokker, where you can climb inside a fighter jet or an old steam train, and a Natural World Amusement Park, a great place to take the kids.

Entrance into the People’s Square and Park is priced at US$3, and the area is open from 7am-7pm.
