4. Taste a local delicacy

Not for the faint-hearted, the famous (or infamous) balut is a hard boiled duck egg with a developing embryo still inside of it. This local delicacy is a combination of savoury duck broth, yolk, and of course, duck meat which can be eaten as it is, or sprinkled with a dash of salt or vinegar. Commonly sold in the streets, eating these protein-rich eggs is definitely a unique experience you will not find in Singapore.
