White shoes? School shoes. At least, that’s what I’ve thought for the longest time.
While I fondly remember the thrill of receiving fresh new sneakers from BATA at the beginning of the school year, as well as saving up for my first Converse pair when I was older, I would never have predicted that white sneakers would be back in vogue again.

But it makes sense: They’re classic, neutral and go well with everything. From crop tops to flared jeans and even drop-waist dresses, few accessories can truly claim to be this versatile.

Last week, while on a work trip, I finally bit the bullet. After lusting for months over the casually cool embellished sneakers from Gucci, I gave in to its siren song.

I haven’t had the chance to break them in yet (and quite frankly, they look too pretty still pristine), but once I do, I’m certain we’ll be inseparable.
Because hey, they go with everything, right?
