Profhilo is sometimes mistaken as a dermal filler or skin boosters but it is actually a 100% pure hyaluronic acid-based, chemical stabiliser-free product that is used to treat aging and sagging skin.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a sugar found naturally in our skin that holds water and helps keep it hydrated and plump. When used in skincare products, hyaluronic acid brings moisture to the surface of your skin.
What are the benefits of Profhilo?
Profhilo has the capacity to stimulate elastin and collagen production to improve aging skin such as skin laxity, and this is something that skinboosters and fillers cannot provide.
Each syringe of Profhilo® contains 2ml of liquid. Unlike skin boosters or Rejuran Healer, Profhilo® treatment only requires 10 key points on the face and this minimizes the risk of infection and downtime.

Our Experience
After a detailed consultation with Dr Gerard Ee, a layer of numbing cream was applied prior to the treatment. There was still mild discomfort during the injection but it only lasted for a while. There was almost no down time. A few spots that looked like mosquito bites were seen immediately after the treatment but they went away a few hours later.
The Results
Profhilo results do not appear immediately. Even though Profhilo is not a filler, they have similar results such as additional volume to the treated areas. The areas looked more volumized about three to four weeks after the procedure. Skin also felt more hydrated, resulting in a glowing look. I can safely conclude that a single treatment of Profhilo done at The Clifford Clinic took years off my actual age.
Would we go for the treatment again? Of course!
