Taking up the largest slice of the renovation pie is the kitchen. Previously an enclosed cooking space, the kitchen now takes on an open concept at the request of the owners. “The owners found the living and dining areas a little bit small, so they wanted to open up the kitchen to create a bigger sense of space,” says Sri. Materials like timber veneer and mosaic tiles count towards building the kitchen as a focal point in the apartment.
