Some are old, some are new
With hundreds of thousands of apps out in the App Store, Google Play and Microsoft Store, it has become a growing challenge to suss out apps that are not only useful, but also easy to use. These apps either make our lives more convenient, organised or shake up the way we lead our daily lives. After downloading and trying a long list of applications, here are some of our favourites that we feel will make your lives better!

2. Splitwise
Splitwise makes splitting bills with friends and family members easy. If you are in a group and needing to track of who owes what, simply key in each expense into a group stating the amount and who the bill should be shared by. Once the outing or trip is over, the app tabulates the data to show you how much each person owes the group.

Adding a bill
Within each bill, the person who paid is able to label the purchase while including the amount. The icon on the side changes to suit the name of the bill. The bottom row that reads “Paid by you and split equally.” Means that this bill is being shared in equal parts among everyone in the group. If you want to exclude someone just click on ‘equally’ and uncheck whoever is not part of the expense.

Settling balances
Splitwise is an easy way to monitor your spending in a group in addition to allowing those who have paid to get back their money and settle outstanding debts.
