The lot of us haven't so much as laid eyes on the Pokemon Go app icon yet, and already we're inundated with news and weird happenings that occurred thanks to the viral mobile game.

If you don't want to read through all the articles about Pokemon Go but are still somehow curious about what strange things could happen, here are 10 that already have.

4. Nintendo’s stock rose by billions

Although the app is free to play, Nintendo’s stock skyrocketed by US$7.5 billion. By Monday, Pokemon Go reportedly overtook Tinder in downloads and had more active daily users on Android than Twitter.

Update: A representative of Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, has announced that there are currently no plans for release of the app outside of New Zealand, Australia, the US and Germany, as reported by IGN.
