She’s sung with the likes of A-mei, David Tao, Wang Lee Hom and JJ Lin, and has gone on to release three successful albums in the Asian market. The 33-year-old also staged her first full length concert this year and debuted her first television appearance on the show “My Squad Is Better Than Yours”.

We sit down with busy-bee Tay Ke Wei to talk tech tips and tricks.

How do you handle the critics?

I’m not bothered by keyboard warriors. I vividly remember during my audition for “The Voice of China”, many criticized the singing talents in Singapore.

What people said didn’t affect me because I am my own worst critic. I believed I let myself down and did not perform well then. They didn’t have to tell me I was bad; I already knew it!

What apps do you like to use?

Besides the usual photo editing and social media apps, I use the Keyboard app for when I have inspiration on-the-go and need to pen down some tunes.

What’s something you’re secretly good at? What’s something you’re really bad at?

I’m really bad at cooking! I can do basic stuff but I’m definitely not a good cook. I’m really good at wakeboarding. It’s really random but the first time I got on the wakeboard, I got the hang of it. That was a pleasant surprise.
