12. Symphony in the Gardens: SSO Mother’s Day Concert (Free!)
Take a music-loving momma out to a concert surrounded by the natural beauty of the Botanic Gardens! Held on 12 May, from 6pm, at the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage, the one-hour concert celebrates both mothers and Singapore musical talents. The leading performers to look forward to are 11-year-old violin prodigy Chloe Chua, and singers Jonathan Charles Tay and Martin Ng. They will be accompanied by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra for a program of timeless tunes including works from from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake ballet. Feel free to pack a basket of food for a picnic, and maybe even bring your pets along! Admission is free – perfect if money is really tight.
