Dazzling Cafe Pink feels just like a princess’ suite.
This time, Dazzling Cafe is putting the dazzle into its name with a brand new dining and shopping concept. Fans of the Taiwanese cafe chain will be delighted with its second Singapore outlet, Dazzling Cafe Pink, which is located conveniently at Orchard Gateway Mall.
Compared to its Tiffany blue and white outlet at Capitol Piazza, Pink features a glamourous carnival-themed interior set in a playful pink and piano black colour palette. Glittery chandeliers hang overhead while the cafe’s signature rabbit-eared chairs grace the dining area. Just like a princess’ suite, I thought.
It seemed only fitting that the first thing to greet me upon entering the cafe, is a charming retail corner with black marbled walls. Shoppaholics will be pleased to know that currently, eight exciting new-to-market accessory brands are available, including Vita Fede, Yun Yun Sun, Hipanema and Vanessa Mooney.
Before you make your way down, read on to find out what we loved about Dazzling Cafe Pink:
1. Matcha delights
If you fancy all things matcha, the new Matcha Waffle with Azuki Beans ($14.90) will not disappoint. The waffle, while more crispy than fluffy, comes with the distinct and pleasantly astringent flavour of matcha.
It is topped with a generous dollop of rich and creamy green tea ice cream; with azuki beans lending sweetness and almond bits adding texture to the dessert.
2. A delicious new honey toast
Exclusive to Dazzling Cafe Pink, the Pandan Gula Melaka Honey Toast ($18.90) is as photogenic as any honey toast you’ll find. Watch as the waiter slices the cube apart to reveal smaller, buttery cubes of bread with soft pandan-flavoured kaya (coconut jam) piped into each one.
The flavours of salted gula melaka, caramel, milk tea, and honey, all came together wonderfully without being too cloying.
3. Tasty bites
If you’re looking for a substantial meal, new menu items like the Lobster Capellini ($26.90), are worth a try.
The pasta was silky smooth and had a good bite to it, while the lobster was sweet and meaty. That said, Dazzling Cafe’s forte lies in its desserts, so don’t expect the savoury items to be mind blowing.
4. Festival-ready bracelets
I found myself drawn to the festive and brightly-coloured accessories of Hipanema. Started by two young Parisian ladies, the Brazilian-inspired bracelets feature multi-coloured threads with shells, stones, beads, coins and ribbons for vibrant pieces that are great for layering.
5. Statement earrings
Ladies who love timeless additions to their wardrobe, will appreciate Vita Fede. The accessories, which are handcrafted in Italy, are inspired by art, architecture and cultures from the past, present and future. What you get are clean and contemporary designs that never goes out of style.
