After successfully raising more than $100,000 with professional athletes last year, Operation Broken Wing (OBW) will this year be opening its participation to the public – even if you’re not a CrossFit athlete.
To be held on 15 Oct at *Scape Playspace, OBW centres on a 15-minute workout called Fight for Hope where each rep performed will translate into monetary donations from sponsors made to the REACH Community Services Society, the event beneficiary.
If you’d like to participate but do not have prior CrossFit experience, don’t sweat it. OBW will conduct a training session by Innervate CrossFit to boost your skills and confidence in performing the workout safely. Registration is now open here and costs $40 per person.
The event will also extend fringe activities which the general public, regardless of age and fitness level, can be a part of.
Operation Broken Wing will be held on 15 Oct, 9am, at *Scape Playspace. For more information and to register, visit www.operationbrokenwing.com.
