5. Bukit Batok Nature Park

You don’t have to go to Bukit Timah to visit past Singapore Quarry sites. Developed in 1988 on an abandoned quarry, Bukit Batok Nature Park (BBNP) is often overshadowed by the more popular Bukit Batok Town Park as the latter is where visitors go to admire the natural wonder that is “Little Guilin”. However, the nature park is not short of stunning views of granite cliff faces and crystal clear waters. Go for a run along the park’s hilly terrain or scale the viewing tower for a bird’s eye view of the forest and neighbourhood. If you are done with your workout, you may even want to check out the war memorial that was built to remember the soldiers and victims of World War II.
