8. Free hugs? Free jail term!
To those who champion happy parades in Singapore – make sure your “free hugs” campaign has a disclaimer. Run up to the person you want to cheer up but instead of going in for the hug, make sure you kill the mood by asking, “Happy Smiles Ltd. requests express permission to hug you and your acknowledgement with a quick nod and/ or a surprised brow raise will lead to our temporary, pre-approved body contact. Yes? LET’S HUG!”
No wonder I haven’t seen any “free hugs” in a while.
