Looking for any way to get away from the life and town he was born into, high school senior Tripp builds a Monster Truck from bits and pieces of scrapped cars. His creation literally comes to life after an accident at a nearby oil-drilling site, where a strange subterranean creature with a taste and a talent for speed calls the Monster Truck his new home.
