StarHub and MyChinaChannel unveil Maxtoon “满满通” — Singapore’s first Mandarin edutainment channel for children

From today, children will be able to learn and master Mandarin by watching MaxToon “满满通” (StarHub TV Channel 322).
The new channel is the first of its kind to be launched in Singapore, offering high definition kid’s programming from China and Singapore. Targeted at kids aged from three to 12, MaxToon “满满通” will show cartoons and live action programmes that aim to entertain and educate young minds through engaging storytelling.
Mr Patrick Yong, Chief Executive Officer of MyChinaChannel, hopes that Maxtoon will inculcate a love for Mandarin in young viewers. “We have big plans to support our home-grown talents through local productions, providing them with an avenue to showcase their creativity. We believe that MaxToon has the potential to be a leading Mandarin edutainment kids channel in Asia in time to come.”
MaxToon will air daily from 6am to 12 midnight, with four hours of fresh content every day. These are four of it’s best shows that the entire family can enjoy.
1. 《宝贝一家一》Baby 101
Aimed at expectant parents and families with 0-3 year-old toddlers, Baby 101 provides useful parenting information and teaches babies to improve their body language.
2. 《霹霹乐翻天》 Panda’s Paradise
An animated series about a Panda families living in a paradise town called Tong Qian, which is a combination of the ancient and modern world.
3. 《欢乐蹦蹦跳》Huan Le Beng Beng Tiao
A series that follows colourful hosts as they discuss thought-provoking topics with children and their parents. The family-oriented programme also teaches children how to dance.
4. 《小康康》Xiao Kang Kang
Targeted at children aged 5 to 9, the story relates to the lives of young children by exploring problems they might face. It aims to entertain and instill good values of care and concern in children as they explore the world.
