#WhatToWatch After Netflix’s ‘Squid Game’

Now that Squid Game is over... What's next?

Singapore Writers Festival 2021 will feature a host of Netflix series Queer Eye, Tan France and writers such as Julia Quinn, creator of the addictive Bridgerton series; Elizabeth Gilbert, bestselling author of the memoir Eat, Pray, Love, and more, whose books have all found its way to Netflix one way or another.

Of course, they are not forgetting the Kpop and local scenes as well!

3. The Baby-Sitters Club

Written by Ann M. Martin, this comedy-drama is based on the book series of the same name focusing on a group of young girls who start their own babysitting service. The wildly popular book series gets a modern update and it all started with one idea, then a hundred.

You can get to know more about the literary legacy Ann M. Martin. She has also written several notable works including Main Street, Missy Piggle-Wiggle, and A Dog’s Life (get your tissues ready for this). Furthermore, in this festival conversation highlight, sit down with Ann M. Martin for a nostalgic celebration of her great ideas, a reflection on growing pains and contemporary struggles, and what it takes to weave such relatable stories for that warm fuzzy feeling.
