KalaClub, a dynamic social platform that combines social media networking, events planning and online deals was launched in end-November.
KalaClub members are able attend as well as host events, purchase KalaClub deals and even promote their own businesses.
Classy & Stylish Launch
The KalaClub web portal was launched on Nov 21 in a classy and stylish espionage-themed party at Bacchanalia.
Guests were treated to a fashion show from out of a James Bond movie. The models paraded in Zardoze’s fashion and jewellery by Dagmar.
The Sail Spin was also present, running a draw with the prize of a free sailing trip. Another draw had the prize of being driven around in an exclusive sports car.
Barbara Riedijk co-founder of KalaClub, shared that the idea of KalaClub was inspired by her experience of coming to a foreign country and attempting to seek useful information, as well as the need to network socially or for business.
She added that her experience in working for a similar organisation had added to her experience and know-how.
KalaClub aims to be Singapore’s leading purveyor of lifestyle requirements and to meet the ever-growing demand for modern luxury.
Mythological Inspiration
KalaClub is named after Hawaiian King Kalakaua, “The Merry Monarch”. So dubbed because of his love of joyful elements of life, King Kalakaua had great passion for music, dancing, parties and the finest food and drinks.
The closed-membership social portal caters to affluent urbanites whose enviable social lives begin when the sun goes down; indulging in all the dining, entertainment and nightlife the city has to offer.
How it Works
Members can share their KalaClub dossier with other members, join a clique and partake in activities with like-minded people, or navigate through the recommendations for wining, dining or partying.
