He does his own stunts
“I love doing stunts. I think the movie really comes to life when the actor gets to step into the character’s shoes. I don’t want to take away anything from stunt team, they’re invaluable. But as an actor, I don’t want my stunts to be all misdirection and cgi.”
“That’s why I really like the second Captain American movie. It was one of the most involved I’ve been in terms of the stunt choreography. For a lot of the fights in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, I don’t have the cowl on and it’s really my face. I was forced to do as much as I can without the help of CGI. It’s an investment and it’s something I really want to try and do because at the end of the day every actor wants to look back on life and say, ‘I did that’, and I think there is a sense of pride in that.”
