Why we think Captain America: Civil War is Marvel’s best superhero movie to date

With one superhero movie being released after another, I thought that I was done with the whole genre. The formulaic plots and head-spinningly complex action sequences have moulded into one in my mind.

In Captain America: Civil War, our favourite Avengers (sans Thor and the Hulk) are set on a path of devastation, fighting against each other because they refuse to see eye to eye. Will the movie be as big of a disappointment to fans as the other epic superhero showdown that came out this year? Or, will it resurrect the metaphorical dead horse of the superhero genre?

Clearly superhero films aren’t going anywhere yet, but, Captain America: Civil War has reignited my faith and excitement for superhero movies to come. The impact of this film will carry on until the MCU reaches its zenith in Infinity War, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
