1. Get Out
Let’s begin with a movie that completely blown the scope of the horror genre wide open. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association created an uproar when they classified Jordan Peele’s directorial debut as a comedy for the Golden Globes. True, you’d be laughing out loud a lot, but through the shaky nerves that attack your gut and threaten to drag you down to the sunken place. If you’re looking for a flick that gets you screaming, laughing, and thinking, put on Get Out.
