5. Be one with art
For the whole month of August, ION Art Gallery celebrates the nation’s birthday through the avant grade offerings of some talented artists.
Kicking off the free-to-view three part exhibition is Synthesis – an oeuvre of 28 pieces of Abstract Expressionist works which embody the notions of identity, relationship, interaction and creation. Created by the award-winning artist Dawn Kwan, the showcase illustrates her distinctive techniques and artful usage of texture and space, imbued with the ingenious combination of chemicals with paints and fluids that results in a phenomenal crystallized starburst effect.
