The Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) is back for its 29th edition! This year, they are highlighting the magic of Asian independent cinema. Over 100 films from 44 countries across Asia will be screened from now until 9 December. You can catch them at the Capitol Theatre, National Museum of Singapore, National Gallery Singapore, The Cathay, Filmgarde Bugis+, Objectifs and *SCAPE. Special showcases include the debut features of Taiwanese filmmakers Mag Hsu and Hsu Chih-yen, and Vietnamese filmmaker Ash Mayfair, while our local creators also get a spotlight with 18 films from Singapore. After seeing the new productions, look back at the legacy of Asian cinematic history by catching the screenings of the region’s iconic films.
