5. Celebrate the Japanese New Year
Start the new year with a unique cultural celebration – Shogatsu, the Japanese New Year! Long regarded as a Japanese food and fashion haven, Liang Court is hosting many exciting activities where you can come close to experiencing an authentic Shogatsu. On 1 January, from 1pm, catch the Taiko drum performance and a sake opening ceremony, to bring you good luck for the year ahead. Then, join in the fun mochi pounding session to have yourself a sweet Japanese treat. On 5 and 6 January, you can also join the various workshops to main an onigiri card holder, bento boxes, and daruma beads coasters. To take part in the workshops for free, simply sign up as an AMperkz member and spend $20 at any stores.
